Marcus Tempus provides independent Rolex watch servicing, repairs, restoration and pressure testing from our on-site workshop in Barnet.

Rolex Servicing, Preservation & Restoration
Every repair begins with a workshop assessment. Mechanical reliability and cosmetic restoration are treated separately, so you remain in control of what is preserved and what is restored.
Complete Mechanical Service
Movement disassembly, cleaning, inspection, lubrication, reassembly, regulation and final testing.
Timing & Regulation
Precision testing and adjustment using professional workshop timing equipment.
Pressure Testing
Seal assessment, resealing and water-resistance testing where appropriate for the watch.
Case Restoration
Refinishing is carried out only when requested, with respect for original case geometry, edges and surface finishes.
Bracelet Refurbishment
Rolex bracelets and clasps can be assessed for cleaning, refinishing, wear and refurbishment while retaining as much original material as practical.
Dial Restoration
Selected dials can be assessed for sympathetic restoration where deterioration affects appearance or legibility.
Hand Restoration
Original hands can often be conserved and sympathetically colour-matched rather than automatically replaced.
Vintage Rolex Conservation
A preservation-first approach to vintage watches, with original components, patina and character retained wherever possible and desired by the owner.

Servicing Without Erasing Its Story
A Rolex does not have to leave our workshop looking factory-new unless that is what you want. For many owners — particularly collectors of vintage and neo-vintage watches — the original dial, hands, bezel, bracelet and case finish are part of the reason the watch matters.
We therefore discuss cosmetic work separately from the mechanical service. Original components are retained wherever practical, and polishing, dial work, hand restoration or bracelet refurbishment is carried out only after the options have been explained.

Rolex Watch Servicing FAQs
Are you an authorised Rolex service centre?
No. Marcus Tempus is an independent watch workshop providing specialist servicing and repair for suitable Rolex watches from our Barnet workshop.
Will you replace original parts during a Rolex service?
Not automatically. We discuss replacement and cosmetic work with you first. Where practical, original components can be retained when preserving the watch's history and character is important to you.
Can you service vintage Rolex watches without making them look new?
Yes. We can service the movement while leaving original cosmetic features untouched where appropriate. Polishing, dial work, hand restoration and bracelet refurbishment are separate choices.
Can you restore Rolex dials and hands?
Selected dials and hands can be assessed for sympathetic restoration. Our archive includes examples where original vintage Rolex hands were preserved and colour-matched rather than replaced.
Do you refurbish Rolex bracelets?
Yes. Rolex bracelets and clasps can be assessed for cleaning, refinishing, wear and refurbishment, with the approach agreed before work begins.
Do you pressure test Rolex watches?
Yes. Pressure testing and seal assessment are carried out where appropriate. A watch must be inspected before any statement about water resistance can be made.
Can I post my Rolex to your workshop?
Yes. Our postal watch service is available for customers across the United Kingdom and can include insured collection and return arrangements.
Is the service covered by a warranty?
Complete servicing is backed by our two-year workshop warranty, subject to the terms and scope of the repair.
