Rolex Submariner Hands – Original Tritium Colour Restoration
The hands of a vintage Rolex Submariner are among the most distinctive features of the watch and play an important role in preserving its originality and collector appeal. During this restoration, the original hands were carefully conserved and their aged appearance sympathetically restored rather than replaced.
Our objective was to retain the character of the watch while restoring a harmonious appearance between the dial and hands. Wherever possible, we believe original components should be preserved, particularly on historically significant vintage Rolex sports watches.
This archive photograph documents the restored Rolex Submariner handset after conservation work carried out by the Marcus Tempus workshop. The original colour and character were maintained while improving the overall presentation of the watch.
The image forms part of our Workshop Archive and demonstrates our approach to sympathetic vintage Rolex restoration, where originality is respected and unnecessary replacement of historic components is avoided.
