Service requirements vary according to brand, reference, movement, age, previous repairs, water resistance and parts availability. We never assume that two watches need the same work simply because they share a brand name.

Frequently Asked Questions

Authorised Watch Servicing FAQ

Which watch brands are you authorised to service?

Marcus Tempus is authorised for Omega, Longines, Rado, Hamilton, Tissot and Certina. Other luxury brands are serviced independently unless specifically stated otherwise.

Do you use genuine watch parts?

Genuine brand components are used where required, appropriate and available. Parts availability can vary according to the brand, calibre, reference and age of the watch.

Do you service watches in your own workshop?

Yes. Marcus Tempus has an on-site watch workshop in Barnet. Some specialist operations or manufacturer-controlled repairs may require a different route, which will be explained during assessment.

Can you service both mechanical and quartz watches?

Yes. We assess suitable automatic, hand-wound, quartz and chronograph watches. The exact service depends on the movement, condition and technical requirements of the watch.

Can you pressure test my watch?

Pressure testing and seal assessment are available where appropriate. A watch must be inspected before any statement about its water resistance can be made.

Can you service vintage watches?

Yes, subject to inspection and parts availability. We aim to preserve originality wherever possible and discuss restoration choices before work begins.

Can I send my watch by post?

Yes. Our UK postal watch service allows customers across the country to send suitable watches to our workshop, with insured collection and return options available.

Is the service covered by a warranty?

Complete watch servicing is backed by our two-year workshop warranty, subject to the terms and scope of the repair.
