Our workshop works on vintage watches from a wide range of manufacturers and periods. Acceptance is always subject to inspection, movement condition and the availability of suitable parts.
A familiar brand name does not automatically make restoration straightforward. Older watches may contain discontinued calibres, previous repairs or components that must be carefully preserved rather than routinely replaced.
Respecting Original Character
Restoration Without Erasing History
Many vintage watches carry marks, softened edges, aged dials and original finishes that form part of their history. Not every owner wants a watch polished until it appears new.
Our approach is to preserve as much originality as reasonably possible while restoring reliable function where the condition of the watch allows.
Before work begins, we discuss what matters most to you. That may mean servicing the movement while leaving the case untouched, retaining an original dial, replacing only essential components or carrying out a more complete restoration.
Nothing is replaced or refinished simply because it can be. The decision is based on condition, originality, safety, practicality and the owner’s preference.
Movement Servicing
Careful dismantling, cleaning, inspection, lubrication, reassembly and regulation of suitable vintage movements.
Originality Preserved
Dials, cases, crowns and bracelets are retained wherever practical and appropriate.
Case & Bracelet Work
Preservation, light refinishing or more complete restoration according to condition and customer preference.
Sentimental Watches
Thoughtful restoration of watches valued for family history rather than commercial value alone.
Vintage Components
Parts Availability & Previous Repairs
Many vintage movements are no longer supported by their original manufacturers. Suitable parts may therefore need to be sourced from specialist suppliers, adapted where appropriate or retained and repaired where replacement is not available.
Older watches may also contain components fitted during earlier repairs. These are assessed carefully before we advise what can realistically be achieved.
We will always be honest when a part is unavailable, when further work would risk originality or when restoration is not commercially sensible.

Workshop Assessment
Inspection of the movement, dial, case, crown, crystal, bracelet and evidence of previous repair work.
Options & Estimate
We discuss preservation, servicing and restoration choices before any work is approved.
Servicing & Restoration
Approved movement, case, crystal or bracelet work is carried out within our workshop.
Testing & Return
The watch is checked for function, timing and presentation before collection or insured return.
Vintage restoration may include a mechanical watch service or carefully considered case and bracelet restoration.
