Product Story

Two colours. One extraordinary gemstone.

At the centre of this exceptional ring is a natural watermelon tourmaline, displaying vivid raspberry pink and fresh green within a single crystal. The transition between the two colours is entirely natural, creating a gemstone with a character and pattern that can never be exactly repeated.

Cut into an elongated emerald shape measuring approximately 11.5 × 5.52 mm, the tourmaline's clean step-cut facets beautifully reveal its remarkable natural colour zoning. Rather than disguising the transition between pink and green, the geometric cut makes it the defining feature of the stone.

Two tapered baguette-cut diamonds sit elegantly to either side, echoing the long architectural lines of the centre gemstone while adding a crisp flash of brilliance.

Crafted in platinum, the cool white setting allows the extraordinary colours of the tourmaline to remain completely undisturbed.

Part of our One & Only Collection and The House of Gemstones at Marcus Tempus, this ring exists because of this particular stone. Another watermelon tourmaline may share its colours, but it will never share exactly the same pattern.

There is only one.

Why We Love It

This is tourmaline doing what tourmaline does best.

Pink and green have grown together naturally inside a single crystal, creating a pattern that belongs only to this gemstone. The platinum and tapered diamonds are deliberately restrained — they frame the stone, but they don't compete with it.

For us, this is exactly what The House of Gemstones is about: finding a stone extraordinary enough that the jewellery is designed around it, rather than the other way around.

Why We Treasure Tourmaline

Tourmaline is one of the world’s most fascinating gemstones, admired for its extraordinary range of colours. Few gemstones offer such diversity, from delicate pastel shades to intense vivid hues and remarkable bi-colour crystals.

Its versatility allows every piece of tourmaline jewellery to possess its own distinct personality, making it a favourite among collectors and those seeking something truly individual.

Nature’s Artistry

Tourmaline crystals naturally grow in long, beautifully striated prisms. Some display several colours within one crystal, creating treasured watermelon and bi-colour varieties.

Caring for Tourmaline

Clean tourmaline jewellery using lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft brush. Avoid sudden impacts, harsh chemicals and rapid temperature changes.

Store tourmaline separately from harder gemstones to help preserve its polished finish. Remove jewellery before strenuous activities.
