A deep green Tourmaline framed by crisp baguette diamonds in cool platinum.
At the centre of this striking ring sits an elongated emerald-cut green Tourmaline, displaying rich forest-green colour with brighter flashes of teal and emerald through its long step-cut facets. The clean geometry of the cut draws attention to the depth and character of the gemstone, giving the ring a sophisticated, architectural presence.
Baguette-cut diamonds sit to either side of the Tourmaline, arranged in stepped panels that echo the rectangular form of the centre stone. Their precise, linear sparkle creates a beautiful contrast against the saturated green gemstone without distracting from it.
Crafted in platinum, the cool white metal gives the ring an exceptionally clean finish and allows both the Tourmaline and diamonds to remain the focus. The combination of an elongated centre stone, baguette diamonds and platinum gives the design a subtle Art Deco influence while still feeling distinctly contemporary.
Green Tourmaline can range from fresh botanical tones to deep forest and blue-green shades. Larger step-cut stones are particularly striking, as their broad facets reveal subtle changes in colour as the ring moves through the light.
Tourmaline is also one of October’s birthstones, making this a sophisticated alternative to the more familiar pink varieties associated with the gemstone.
This particular piece has now sold, but Marcus Tempus may be able to source a comparable green Tourmaline, locate a stone in a different shade or proportion, or create a bespoke ring inspired by this design.
