Product Story
Full of colour, movement and traditional Black Forest charm, this 8-day musical cuckoo clock recreates the atmosphere of an Alpine village celebration in beautifully detailed woodwork.
The chalet-style case is decorated with hand-finished carved leaves, flower boxes and green shutters, with a charming bell tower rising above the roof. Below, an elaborate village scene comes to life with musicians, villagers, woodland trees and a traditional mill wheel.
On the hour, the clock becomes a miniature performance: the musicians move in time with the music, while the figures above the dial rotate. The musical mechanism plays a selection of 36 melodies, giving this clock far more character than a conventional timepiece.
At its heart is a traditional mechanical 8-day movement, requiring winding approximately once a week. An automatic night shut-off silences the cuckoo and musical functions overnight.
Richly detailed and wonderfully nostalgic, this is the sort of cuckoo clock you can keep discovering little details in — a piece of the Black Forest fairytale tradition brought into the home.
