A wonderfully detailed 8-day Black Forest musical cuckoo clock, recreating a traditional woodland sawmill in miniature.
The hand-crafted wooden chalet is surrounded by classic Black Forest details, with timber, fir trees and a working woodland scene arranged around the clock. As the mechanism comes to life, a wood chopper moves alongside the working saw gate and turning waterwheel, creating a charming mechanical scene inspired by traditional life in the Black Forest.
Above the dial, traditional dancing figures appear on the balcony, while the cuckoo emerges to announce the hour. The clock is also fitted with a mechanical music box with two melodies, bringing together movement, music and traditional mechanical clockmaking.
The chalet itself is richly finished with wooden shingles, green shutters and carved balcony details. A wooden dial, Roman numerals, wooden hands and cuckoo bird continue the traditional construction.
Powered by an 8-day mechanical movement, the clock requires winding approximately once a week. An automatic night shut-off silences the cuckoo and musical functions overnight.

A Working Black Forest Sawmill in Miniature
This is one of those cuckoo clocks where the charm is in discovering all the little details. The saw gate, wood chopper and waterwheel turn the chalet into a miniature working woodland scene, while the cuckoo, dancers and music provide the theatrical character of a traditional musical Black Forest clock.
