About This Timepiece
The Rolex Explorer is one of the brand's most enduring designs, created for reliability, legibility and everyday durability. This vintage example, believed to be reference 6610, captures the clean aesthetic that established the Explorer as one of Rolex's most recognisable tool watches.
Crafted in stainless steel, the watch features the signature black dial with Arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9, luminous hour markers, Mercedes hands and the robust Oyster case. Its understated design has remained largely unchanged for decades, making the Explorer a favourite among collectors and enthusiasts alike.
This watch forms part of the Marcus Tempus Watch Archive, showcasing exceptional timepieces that have passed through our workshop. Although this particular Explorer is no longer available, it remains in our archive as an example of the remarkable vintage watches we have handled.
